Directional: R = 2 T cos(θ/2) when both strands equal T. Practical uses haul = T / η, then the law of cosines for the two unequal tensions. Anchor: each leg = Load / (2 cos(θ/2)). Keep interior angles under 90° when you can; treat 120° as a hard thinking point.
